Cranial osteopathy
Cranial Osteopathy is a gentle, safe and effective approach to treatment to a wide range of problems in the whole body.
Cranial osteopathy is a type of treatment that encourages the release of stresses and tensions throughout the body, including the head. This osteopathic approach use a highly developed sense of touch to feel change of tension and tissue quality, in order to diagnose areas of strain or dysfunction.
Through the treatment, the osteopath understand and treat the cause of the symptoms, to reduce the change of symptoms returning in the future and restore health
Based on Osteopathic principles, Cranial Sacral Therapy involves the bones of the head, the spinal column, the sacrum and the underlying structures.
It is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the cranial sacral system.
The concept is based on the idea that bones of the head are in constant rhythmic motion. This motion can affect the entire body. Cranial sacral application is aimed to restore this rhythm and allow the forces of life to flow free.
This technique employs a very light touch to monitor this rhythm and pinpoint and release sources of obstruction and stress in the body. It is a technique I apply to bolster resistance to disease and help with a wide range of specific medical conditions including:
-
Headaches, including migraines and tension headaches
